It's very quiet as the main traffic follows the bypass road around the village. The village is located in front of the famous vineyard Wehlener Sonnenuhr and offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere directly at the Mosel River.
Around the house exist a lot of hiking or biking possibilities in the near by vineyards or the Mosel river (you can hike to Traben-Trabach in just one hour). Several golf courses (e.g. Frankfurt Hahn, Bitburg, Trier, Cochem) can be reached within 60 minutes.
Supermarkets are located at Bernkastel-Kues ( 5 min by car) or Wittlich (Bungert supermarket offers a huge selection of international products). The city of Trier can be also reached in 30 min by car or by park and ride at Wittlich main station. Two Freeway/Autobahn accesses, in Wittlich or Erden, are close to the village. Luxembourg City is only one hour by car or train from Wittlich main station from the apartment.
